Analysis of Ore Control Factors and Exploration Implications for Pegmatite Type Rare Metal Deposits in the Altun Region
In recent years, significant progress has been made in the exploration of rare metals in the Altun region, making it an important base for the exploration of pegmatite type lithium and beryllium deposits in Xinjiang and even across the country.Based on the achievements of recent work, this article systematically analyzes the geological charac-teristics and ore controlling factors of the study area, and believes that the Paleozoic tectonic magmatic activity has a sig-nificant controlling effect on the mineralization of pegmatite type lithium and beryllium rare metals in the Altun area.Based on this discovery,a new approach for regional mineral exploration has been proposed, using the Paleozoic acidic intrusion as a key ore controlling element to finely depict the deep and large faults and their associated secondary ore car-rying faults in the Azhong region. This can effectively improve the efficiency of prospecting for pegmatite type rare met-al deposits in the area and expand the exploration space.
