Geological Characteristics and Ore-Forming Tectonic Environment Analysis of the Gaijike Fluorite Deposit in Ruoqiang County,Xinjiang
The Gaijike fluorite deposit is located in the middle section of the Altun Mountains, and is produced in the northeast oriented Gaijike fault zone.It is controlled by the fault structure. There are four fluorite ore bodies delineated on the surface of the mining area, with a length of 200-1300 meters and an average thickness of 3.90-10.00 meters. The average CaF2 grade is 30.15-40.17%,and the ore bearing rocks are fluorite calcite veins and syenogranite. The fluorite bearing syenogranite belongs to the high potassium calcium alkaline series Ⅰ type granite class. We conducted a 1:50 000 mineral survey and obtained an ICP zircon U-Pb age of 468±16 Ma from the fluorite bearing syenite granite in the Kar-qal fluorite mining area.Based on the regional tectonic background, regional diagenetic and mineralization chronology research, and rock geochemical characteristics,we believe that the Gaijike fluorite deposit originated from the post colli-sional tectonic environment of the Middle Ordovician,It is a product of the continuous subduction of the Azhong and Qa-idam blocks during landing, which transformed from a compressional orogeny to an extensional tectonic background. The mineralization era is consistent with that of the Karqal fluorite, and it is in the middle to late Ordovician.
