Meso-Neoproterozoic Sedimentary Environment Analysis in Tarim Basin
During the analysis on Meso-Neoproterozoic paleogeography in Tarim basin, gravity, magnetic and electric exploration data are used for the first time, residual strata thickness maps and fault distribution of Mesoproterozoic Changcheng,Jixian System and Neoproterozoic era are compiled from Tarim basin's non-seismic exploration data.Eroded area, stratum pinchout line and uplift-depression distribution of Changcheng and Jixian System are clarified.Outcrops'lithofacies data of Kuruktag,Altyn Tagh,Tiklik in peripheral Tarim basin are collected and complied, marine deposit of peripheral basin was stretched to interior basin, sedimentary environment analysis of Tarim basin is carried out on Meso-Neoproterozoic Changcheng,Jixian and Qinbaikou period.Bachu, southeastern Tarim interior Tarim basin are ancient continents during Changcheng period, terrestrial clastic deposits exist in the periphery.Kuruktag,Altyn Tagh,Tiklik, west Kunlun around ancient continents are platform facies carbonate rock deposition environment.During Jixian period northern and southern Tarim basin and Bachu area are ancient continents, the periphery such as Tiklik are coastal shallow sea deposits.Kuruktag,Altyn Tagh, west Kunlun are platform facies deposits.During Qinbaikou period Manjiaer sag interior Tarim basin is coastal shallow sea deposit,Qinbaikou strata is also existed between Tarim plate and ancient Australia plate, and also between Tarim plate and ancient Indian plate, the central uplift zone in southem Tarim basin is in uplift erosion environment. The whole Tarim plate rised gradually in multiple convergence and extension during Meso-Neopro-terozoic era, land area continued to expand.Non-seismic data acquisition and geological interpretation should be strengthened in the future, and the analysis on field outcrops in Meso-Neoproterozoic era should be carried out, which can enrich gradually Meso-Neoproterozoic geological data in the Tarim basin,at last establish good geological foundation for ultra-deep petroleum exploration.
