Geological Hazard Risk Evaluation Based on Slope Unit in Northern Mountainous Area of Huocheng
Geological disaster risk assessment has a certain guiding role in disaster prevention and reduction.Taking the northern mountainous area of Huocheng County as an example, the study area was divided into 2 236 slope units based on the characteristics of terrain and geomorphology.Through field investigation and comprehensive analysis, the AHP-information entropy model was used to select terrain and geomorphology, rock stratum and structure, etc.as the six basic factors and precipitation, temperature, and human activities as the four triggering factors to conduct a geological di-saster risk assessment in the study area.Based on the selected population vulnerability and economic vulnerability evalu-ation factors, the study completed a geological disaster damage assessment. The geological disaster risk assessment was completed by overlaying the two evaluation results on the slope units. The results show that the area with extremely high risk is small, accounting for 4.10%of the total area. The areas with high and moderate risks account for 9.85%and 27.14%of the total area, respectively. The low-risk area is widely distributed, and geological disasters mainly develop in the extremely high and high-risk areas, accounting for 97.96%of the total number of geological disasters. This verifies the accuracy of the evaluation model. The research results provide scientific theoretical support for geological disaster prevention and control planning.
