Research on the Impact of Environmental Regulation on Firm Performance——Empirical Evidence Based on Listed Industrial Firms
Based on the 2012-2021 Chinese industrial listed enterprises as the research sample,the relationship between environmental regulation on enterprise performance and the mediating role of technological innovation in the relationship between environmental regulation and enterprise performance are empirically examined through the fixed-effects model,and the extent of changes in the impact of environmental regulation on enterprise performance is further analyzed under different equity properties.The results of the study show that:environmental regulation has a significant positive correlation with enterprise performance;technological innovation has a mediating effect in the impact of environmental regulation and enterprise performance.This study provides theoretical reference and practical reference for the impact of environmental regulation on industrial enterprise performance.
