Empowering the Digital Economy to Expand Domestic Demand-From the Perspective of Supply and Demand
The implementation of the strategy of expanding domestic demand is the key support for realizing the double cycle of domestic and international economy,and the digital economy provides new opportunities for expanding domestic demand.The article takes 30 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government)as the research object,and explores the mechanism of expanding domestic demand empowered by the digital economy from both the supply and demand sides and conducts empirical tests.The study finds that:based on the demand side,the digital economy significantly expands domestic demand through the direct effect,and the result still holds after the robustness test;based on the supply side,the digital economy positively promotes the expansion of domestic demand through the conduction path of enterprise innovation level,and the upgrading of the industrial structure and the high-quality supply both play a positive moderating role in the process of expanding domestic demand by the digital economy;and the further analysis reveals that In the analysis of regional heterogeneity,the incentive effect decreases from central,east to west.This paper empirically analyzes the mechanism of expanding domestic demand empowered by the digital economy from the perspective of both supply and demand,and the findings of the study are instructive for promoting the construction of a new development pattern from the perspective of optimizing the high-quality development of the digital economy.
