Measuring comparative analysis of the degree of Regional Participation in Global Value Chain,Domestic Regional Value Chain and Provincial Value Chain
It is of great practical significance to understand the regional division of labor status and explore the upgrading path from the perspective of value chain to improve the overall national competitiveness. This paper embeds the China interregional input-output table into the world input-output table to construct the IRIO-WIOT input-output table, and using the value chain decomposition method, measure the degree of participation of 30 provinces and cities in the global value chain, domestic value chain, and provincial value chain. The results showed that:the economy of central and western provinces and cities such as Hubei and Sichuan is mainly driven by intra provincial circulation, and their participation in domestic and international division of labor is very low.Shanghai,Beijing,Guangdong, and Jiangsu have a high level of participation in the global value chain, but their division of labor status is not high.Zhejiang has a high level of participation and division of labor in the global value chain.Inner Mongolia,Hebei,Xinjiang have a high level of participation in the domestic value chain.Drawing on the value chain upgrading theory of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development(UNCTAD),this paper proposes different regional value chain upgrading paths based on the characteristics of different regions.
