A Study on the Coordinated Development of Urban Industrial Structure and Employment Structure in the Greater Bay Area
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA)is a demonstration window for coordinated and cooperative development of regional economy in China,and also one of the most active regions in China's economy.The coordinated development of population structure and industrial structure is an important foundation for high-quality economic development.The industrial structure and population structure of the GBA generally maintain a high level of coordination,but there are significant gradient differences between cities in the area in terms of employment elasticity,deviation degree of industrial structure,employment industry related relationships,and employment industry coordination.Overall,the coordinated development level of the employment industry in Hong Kong and Macao is the highest,with mainland cities such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen developing better,followed by cities such as Zhuhai,Dongguan,Foshan,and Huizhou.Zhaoqing and Jiangmen have the worst coordinated development level.Breaking administrative fragmentation,increasing policy planning coordination between cities,improving industrial quality,and enhancing labor quality are important means to enhance the coordinated development of employment structure and industrial structure in theGBA.
