Effects of Different Hormone Treatments on the Effect of Simultaneous Estrus and Related Reproductive Hormone Levels in Heifers
The aim of the experiment is to investigate the effects of different hormone treatments on the effect of simultaneous estrus and related reproductive hormone levels in Simmental heifers.Fifty healthy young Simmental heifers of 16-18 months of age were selected and randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group,with 25 heifers in each group.The control group was treated with Gonadotro-pin-releasing hormone(GnRH)+Prostaglandin(PG)+GnRH method,and the experimental group was treated with GnRH+Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin(PMSG)+PG+GnRH for simultaneous estrus treatment,and then the estrus and conception rates of the heifers were counted,meanwhile the serum re-productive hormone levels were measured.The results showed that compared with the control group,the estrus rate of heifers in the experimental group increased by 28%(P＜0.05);and the conception rate of heifers increased by 12%(P＞0.05).Compared with the control group,the Luteinizing hormone(LH)level in the serum of heifers in the test group increased by 8.75%(P＜0.05).In a comprehensive com-parison in this trial,the use of GnRH+PMSG+PG+GnRH regimen for simultaneous estrus treatment was more effective in the same period.
