Correlation Analysis between Hair Follicle Traits Parameters and Production Traits in Southern Xinjiang Cashmere Goat
[Objective] This project aims to study the skin follicle structure of Southern Xinjiang cashmere goat and analyze the relationship between the number of hair follicles and cashmere yield and the relationship between hair follicle diameter and cashmere fineness in order to provide the histological basis for studying the molecular regulation mechanism of cashmere development in Southern Xinjiang cashmere goat.[Method]The skin follicle paraffin section was observed by light microscope in Southern Xinjiang cashmere goat. The relationship between skin follicle traits parameters and production traits was analyzed by means of software SPSS 16.0.[Result]The skin follicle had a periodic change rule in Southern Xinjiang cashmere goat, but the rule of primary hair follicle was not obvious. The hair follicle structure of cashmere goat was composed of hair bulb, outer root sheath and inner root sheath. Its development was different during each period. The secondary follicle density had a significant positive correlation with the cashmere yield (P < 0.05),and the diameters of secondary follicles had a significant positive correlation with cashmere fineness(P <0.05).[Conclusion] The number of secondary follicle determines the cashmere yield; The diameters of secondary follicle determine cashmere fineness.
