Comparative Analysis on Two Hail Events in Aksu in 2009
By using of the data from conventional observation and the doppler radar, two hailstorms happened 2009 in Aksu District of Southern Xinjiang were analyzed and contrasted. The results showed that the circulation pattem, radiosonde physical quantity characteristic, the dynamic conditions and water vaper conditions in "9·5" hail event was more conducive to the occurrence of strong hail event. The low level convergence layer and cold shear line was lower, as a result, the convergence effects was stronger in "9·5" hail event. and these was more favorable to the emergence and maintenance of hail. For the "9·5" hail event, the convectional system was on meso-γ-scale, while it was on meso-β-scale for the "7·27" hail event.
