Characteristic of Daily Variation of Winter Snowfall in Changji Prefecture from 2012 to 2019
Based on the hourly precipitation data of 11 national stations in Changji prefecture from 2012 to 2019,the daily variation characteristics of winter snowfall in Changji prefecture were analyzed by conventional statistical methods.The results show that the spatial distribution of winter snowfall in Changji prefecture was positively correlated with altitude and negatively correlated with latitude,and the snowfall intensity was closely related to latitude.The hourly accumulative snowfall showed a bimodal statewide distribution,with the main peak appearing at 17:00 and the secondary peak at 08:00.In the west,there was a triple-peak,and the main and secondary peaks occurred at 17:00,14:00 and 08:00,respectively.In the eastern part,there was a quasi-single-peak and single-valley type,with the peak occurring at 19:00 and the valley appearing at 13:00.The winter precipitation events in Changji prefecture were mainly short-duration precipitation events,which contributed 64%to the winter precipitation,and the occurrence probability of long-duration precipitation events over 12 h was very small,and only occasionally occurred in some stations.The daily precipitation cycle in winter was closely related to the duration of precipitation in western and eastern Changji and precipitation events lasting 3-4 h contributed the most to the winter precipitation in western and eastern Changji,while their contribution to the precipitation was decreasing with the increase of duration.
