Characteristics of Air Quality and Impact of Sand and Dust Weather in Korla City,Xinjiang
Based on environmental monitoring data from 2014 to 2022,the characteristics of the air quality and pollutant in Korla were analyzed and further investigated the impact of dusty weather on air quality.The results showed that the good air quality rate in Korla was 65.3%from 2014 to 2022,air pollution was the most severe in spring,and air quality was the best in summer.The air pollution was mainly caused by excessive particulate matter,and the annual average concentration value of PM10 exceeded the second level standard limit by 127%,PM2.5 exceeded 31%,and SO2,NO2,CO,O3 all met the standards.The percentage of days with PM10 as the primary pollutant was 92.2%and PM2.5 as the primary pollutant was 8.0%.The annual average weather affected by sand-dust weather was 100.4 days,and 79.7%of polluted days were affected by sand-dust weather.Without considering the impacts of sand-dust weather,the average concentrations of PM10 and PM2.5 decreased 18.6%and 13.0%,respectively.The annual average contribution rate of sand-dust weather to AQI was 31.8%,it was 41.9%to PM10 and was 23.3%to PM2.5.Sand-dust weather has a significant impact on the air air quality in Korla,and the fundamental prevention and control of air pollution is the comprehensive management of sand-dust weather.
