Analysis of Influence of Bearing Wear on Natural Frequency of Shafting Transverse Vibration
The bearing was an important component supporting the shafting of ships, and the bearing wear may lead to shafting resonance, failure or complete damage, thus affected the normal operation of ships. Therefore,it was necessary to study the impact of bearing wear on the lateral vibration of shafting.Based on the dynamic equation, established a shafting vibration calculation method on the condition of the uneven wear of shafting bearing surface.Through this method,it was studied that the effects of the bearing length, bearing end wear, end weight and tail support span on the natural frequency of ship shafting. The results showed that the established calculation method could accurately calculate the natural frequency of shafting, and the error was within 10%.With the increase of bearing length, the transverse vibration frequency of shafting increased. With the increase of the span of the tail support, the natural frequency of the shafting decreased gradually.Under the same support span, the natural frequency of shafting increased with the increase of shafting diameter. With the increase of bearing length, the natural frequency of shafting decreased with the increase of bearing end wear.
