Research on Application of BIM+3D Laser Scanning Technology in Existing Building Renovation Projects
The existing building renovation was one of the important development directions of the current construction industry,renovation projects usually had problems such as site and original design drawings did not match or lack of design drawings.Took the maintenance and transformation project of Hubei Province Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital for example,by using BIM+3D laser scanning technology to help project maintenance and transforma-tion,we used 3D laser scanner for on-site scanning,processed point cloud data to create a project point cloud of existing buildings,and compared the project point cloud with BIM model,so quickly presented the inconsistencies between the de-sign drawings and the site.According to the point cloud model,the civil BIM model was corrected,and then the BIM me-chanical and electrical detailed design was optimized to guide the on-site mechanical and electrical engineering construction.It was verified that the accuracy of the 3D laser scanner met the project requirements,and BIM+3D laser scanning technology could efficiently and accurately obtain the actual size of the existing building and could also obtain the deviation from the de-sign drawing,which provided reliable data support for the transformation design,improved the efficiency and quality of the design,reduced the construction rework,and ensured the quality and progress of the project.
