Exploration of"Datong Model"Oriented Accessible Integrated Design:A Case Study of Zhejiang Disability Services and Support Centre
This paper based on the changes in people's perception of disability,first proposes the"Datong Model"with Chinese characteristics out of the Western"Universal Model";and by reviewing the progress in accessible design methods,the"Integrated Design"with Chinese characteristics out of the foreign"Universal Design".It then puts forward the strategies of accessible integrated design,namely otherness,complexity,flexibility,conspicuousness and wholeness,which are applied Zhejiang Disability Services and Support Centre.In the context of Chinese modernization,the concept and methodology which are adapted to the Eastern cultural tradition,provide a reference for accessible design for all-age users and diverse needs.
