Architectural Form Analysis of the Bell Tower:Exploration and Expression of the Spatial Structure of an Ideal Pavilion
From the overall structural strategy of the building to the adaptation and adjustment of partial components,the Bell Tower of Zhihua Temple and the Bell Tower of Kaiyuan Temple are compared and analyzed from the perspective of the structural system characteristics,the spatial performance and detailed structure of the components,the shaping of spatial depth and precision,the consistency of facade and internal performance and the overall layout of the temple.Based on the multi-dimensional analysis,this article discusses the relationship between the two bell towers constructed in different eras in terms of overall space performance and indoor and outdoor coordination and intends to establish a method for understanding the ancient architecture design intention from the detail to the general concerning the architectural structure and space performance,and points out the core space of the two bell towers is different,which reflects the changes of the status of the bell tower in monasteries in different ages.
