Railway heritage constitutes the primary category of industrial heritage,and the conservation and inheritance of railway heritage has gradually drawn the attention of both academia and society.However,the protection of railway heritage in China is in a state of low-level research,low-degree conservation,and low-efficiency utilization.Therefore,this paper investigates the research frontiers of international railway heritage,the conservation process of Chinese railway heritage,and the corresponding difficulties faced by our country.Then,through comprehensive comparison and detailed analysis of two approaches,it analyzes the experience of railway heritage conservation within World Heritage from four aspects:top-level design,value mining,conservation planning,and operation and maintenance.Finally,based on the applicability of railway World Heritage experience,this paper summarizes the experience and inspiration for China,aiming to provide a reference path for the conservation,inheritance,and application of World Heritage in China's railway heritage.
