Key Issues and Design Strategies for the Revitalization and Utilization of Dormant Railway Lines:From the Perspective of Landscape Urbanism
As urban and metro construction expands, idle railway lines have become valuable spatial resources for promoting urban development. From the perspective of landscape urbanism, this study analyzes classic cases at home and abroad to explore the adaptive reuse of dormant railway lines. We focus on three key issues at the macro, meso, and micro levels, namely, design strategies for integrating dormant railway lines into the urban spatial network, enhancing boundary interoperability, and improving spatial interconnection. This analysis is intended to provide valuable references for the adaptive reuse of dormant railway lines and support urban regeneration and construction.
