Residents'perceptions within the stairway space in mountain city parks are closely related to their behaviors and the surrounding environment, and the combination of multimodal data facilitates the study of three-dimensional spatial embodied perceptions in a field test setting.Taking four stairway paths, including both upward and downward paths, formed by two typical stairway spaces in Pipa Mountain Park as the spatial research objects,a coupled analysis of multimodal perception data and environmental data is conducted to study the impact of subjects'perception under the differences in path and node environment, visual and acoustic environment, and movement direction. The research findings are as follows:1)The order of perceived stress relief is natural stairway downward>artificial stairway downward>natural stairway upward>artificial stairway upward.2)In the stairway environment, people's physiological response and psychological perception evaluation are not entirely congruent.3)The same spatial elements in different stairways also give rise to physiological perception disparities due to the overall influence of the mountain environment.
