The Planning and Design of Mountainous Traditional Villages in Southwest China under Multi-participant Intervention:Case of Nanjiang CR Hope Town
Due to the complex terrain conditions like mountains and hills, some villages in southwest China are encountering development bottlenecks, including inconvenient transportation and a shortage of high quality farmland. With the introduction of the"Rural Revitalization Strategy",the crucial institutional advantages of"social responsibility"in rural development has become increasingly prominent.Under the participation of multiple subjects such as governments,state-owned enterprises, universities, and village collectives, they directly address the issues of backward development, single industry structure, construction difficulties, and fragmented land caused by geographical and locational conditions in the mountainous rural areas of the southwest.Through multi-subject participation based on reality and innovation, unfavorable conditions such as complex terrain are transformed into characteristic highlights, thus becoming a significant opportunity for rural construction.Through discussions on how various subjects participation in rural construction under the guidance of fulfilling social responsibilities, design strategies that fully exploit the characteristics of each subject and the advantages of mountainous rural areas are proposed.Taking the early stage programming, planning and design, and construction of Nanjiang CR Hope Town as an example, empirical and speculative thinking on the above considerations is carried out,in order to provide references for corresponding work under similar conditions.
