Exploring the Impact of Work Resources on Marital Satisfaction based on the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model Analysis:The Moderation Effect of Neuroticism
Based on actor-partner interdependence model,the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between work re-sources and marital satisfaction among couples,and the moderating role of neuroticism.A total of 318 dyadic dual-earner couples com-pleted the questionnaires of Work Resources Scale,Marital Satisfaction Scale and Neuroticism Scale.The results showed that:(1)The work resources of both husband and wife positively predicted their own marital satisfaction,and the actor effects were significant;(2)The husband's work resources positively predicted the wife's marital satisfaction,and the wife's partner effect was significant;Howev-er,the wife's work resources didn't predict the husband's marital satisfaction,and the husband's partner effect was not significant;(3)The wife's neuroticism moderated the actor effect between their work resources and marital satisfaction;The husband's neuroticism moderated the partner effect between the husband's work resources and the wife's marital satisfaction.Overall,among the Actor-Part-ner Interdependence Model analysis between work resources and marital satisfaction,husband's dyadic pattern was actor-only pattern,wife's dyadic pattern was couple pattern,and neuroticism played moderating roles in some actor-partner effects.
