盖塔病毒(Getah virus,GETV)是一种人畜共患的虫媒传播病毒,主要感染养殖动物,遗传多样性高,具有流行风险.本研究基于高通量测序技术,在来自福建省的死亡野生赤腹松鼠中首次发现了 GETV,结合一代测序技术进一步鉴定到赤腹松鼠肺组织感染GETV,并成功获得该病毒的全基因组序列,命名为GETV/RS/China/2022毒株.基于GETV全基因组的系统发育分析结果表明,源自野生啮齿目动物的GETV/RS/China/2022毒株属于罕见GETV谱系Ⅱ型衍生株,这提示了 GETV宿主谱的扩展以及野生动物对甲病毒进化和传播的重要性.
Molecular identification and genetic evolution of Getah virus from red belly squirrels in Fujian Province
Getah virus(GETV)is a zoonotic,insect-borne virus that mainly infects farmed animals and is of high genetic diversity and ep-idemic risk.In this study,GETV was first detected in dead wild red-bellies squirrels from Fujian Province.based on the high-throughput se-quencing technology.Combined with the next-generation sequencing technology,GETV infection in lung tissues of red-bellies squirrels was further identified,and the whole genome sequence of the virus was successfully obtained,named the GETV/RS/China/2022 strain.Phyloge-netic analysis based on the whole genome of GETV showed that the GETV/RS/China/2022 strain belonged to the rare GETV lineage type Ⅱderivatives,which suggested the expansion of the GETV host spectrum and the importance of wild animals to the evolution and transmission of alphavirus.
