A Research on the Nonlinear Relationship of the Environmental Impact of China's Foreign Trade:Based on the Perspective of Global Value Chain
This article constructs a dynamic panel GMM model and finds that the degree of GVC participation of enterprises and pollution emissions show a nonlinear inverted U-shaped relationship. The pollution emission of enterprises increases and then decreases with the increase of GVC participation degree. This article further constructs upstream degree and downstream degree and pollution emission impact model and finds that upstream degree is negatively correlated with pollution emission, the upstream economic component of enterprises in GVC will produce emission reduction effect;while the downstream degree is positively correlated with pollution emission, which means that the upstream economic component of enterprises in GVC will increase the pollution emission.Based on the above conclusions, this article constructs a multiple mediation effect model and finds that the formation of the inverted U-shaped relationship is the final result of the mutual influence of the upstream and downstream participation of enterprises.
