Element,Structure and Function:The Logical Approach to the Study of Character Structure
The assessment of character structure is the core of evaluating the effectiveness of moral education.To achieve ideal moral education results,it is necessary to attach importance to and deepen the research on character structure.The research and analysis paradigm of character structure by Chinese scholars can be summarized as static structural component analysis,dynamic functional system analysis,and developmental value structure analysis.The three research stages show a trend of continuous extension and expansion from single dimension to multiple dimension,from unity to diversity,from static to dynamic,and from internal to external.However,at the same time,the study of character structure also presents characteristics such as a shift in research focus,insufficient depth of research on some contents,and a strong psychological color in the research.The insufficient depth of research on the components and forms of character structure directly affects the scientificity and effectiveness of subsequent functional and developmental studies.To solve these problems,it is necessary to return to the starting point of"structure"and examine the relationship between moral form and content from a new perspective.The research focus should shift from"the structure of moral education content"to"the structure of character itself",and realize the transformation from psychological research paradigm to sociological research paradigm,so that the character structure can be rooted in moral education practice,educational practice,and social practice.
