Research progress of brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension
Brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity is an important parameter in the evaluation of arterial stiffness,which is closely related to hypertension and its target organ damage.Its operation is simple,economical,non-invasive.It has strong universality and high predictive value of vascular dysfunction.Early detection of brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity is helpful to improve the risk stratification and prognosis assessment.This article reviews the application progress of brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity in hypertension and its target organ damage.
