Expression levels and clinical significance of endostatin and suppression of tumorigenicity-2 in patients with essential hypertension
Objective To investigate the expression levels of endostatin and suppression of tumorigenicity-2(ST2)in patients with essential hypertension and their clinical significance. Methods A total of 115 essential hypertension patients admitted to Changshu First People's Hospital from September 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the observation group.Another 115 healthy indivduals undergoing physical examination were selected as the control group. The general data and serum levels of endostatin,ST2 and nitric oxide(NO)in the observation group and control group were compared. The relationships between serum levels of endostatin,ST2,NO,diastolic blood pressure(DBP),systolic blood pressure(SBP),and urine microalbumin in essential hypertension patients were analyzed. The influencing factors for the occurrence of essential hypertension were also analyzed. Results The DBP,SBP,urine microalbumin, serum endostatin and ST2 in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the level of NO was lower, there were statistically significant differences(t=29.882,35.966,40.670,12.838,16.792,15.507;P<0.05).The levels of serum endostatin and ST2 in essential hypertension patients were negatively correlated with NO(r=-0.504,-0.556;P<0.05)and positively correlated with DBP,SBP,and urine microalbumin(r=0.517,0.450,0.485,0.503,0.548,0.446;P<0.05).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that endostatin,ST2,and NO were influencing factors for the occurrence of essential hypertension(OR=2.593,2.434,0.646;P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of serum endostatin and ST2 in essential hypertension patients are higher, both of them are related to the endothelial function indicator NO and are influencing factors for essential hypertension.
