Towards Integration:Reunderstanding of the Relationship between"Play-oriented Curriculum"and"Curriculum-based Play"
In the process of seeking modernization and localization of kindergarten education and its curriculum in China,"Play-oriented Curriculum"and"Curriculum-based Play"are innovative practices that organically integrate kindergarten curriculum and play, which are based on the concept of"taking play as the basic activity".In this process,"Play-oriented Curriculum"and"Curriculum-based Play"are complementary and interdependent.Once they are confronted in a tool based, phased and static manner,it is undoubtedly a human tearing apart of their underlying purpose and means, content and form, process and results. Therefore,a shift in understanding from"Instrumental Theory","Stage Theory"and"Static Theory"to"Activity Theory","Demand Theory"and"Dynamic Theory"should be achieved. To this end,it is necessary to firstly confirm the fundamental position of a complete children's position in Chinese modern education system, and then construct a localized kindergarten curriculum theory system with inherent life interests. At the same time,it is also necessary to strengthen the suitability of theoretical guidance and practical consciousness of innovating kindergarten teaching.Ultimately, through the coordinated development of value integration, theory integration and practice integration,we will continue to deepen the reform of kindergarten education and assist in the integrated development of curriculum and play.
