The Impact of Principal Ethical Leadership on Kindergarten Teachers'Professional Morality:A Moderated Mediation Model
Understanding the mechanism of the formation of kindergarten teachers'professional morality is a crucial issue for enhancing their professional moral levels and ensuring the happy and healthy growth of children in kindergarten.To explore the influence of principal's ethical leadership on kindergarten teachers'professional morality,and the role of kindergarten ethical atmosphere and kindergarten teachers'moral identity.This study employed surveys,including the Kindergarten Teacher Professional Moral Questionnaire,Ethical Leadership Scale,Ethical Climate Scale,and Moral Identity Scale,to investigate 872 kindergarten teachers.The results revealed that principal ethical leadership significantly and positively predicted kindergarten teachers'professional morality.The ethical climate in kindergartens played a mediating role in the impact of principal ethical leadership on kindergarten teachers'professional morality.Furthermore,the moral identity of kindergarten teachers moderated both the direct influence of principal ethical leadership on kindergarten teachers'professional morality and the mediating pathway through ethical climate.Based on these findings,the study recommends that it is necessary to attach importance to the improvement of principal ethical leadership,actively shape a positive ethical climate in kindergartens,and strengthen the cultivation of the moral identity of kindergarten teachers,so as to create a good ecological environment for the construction of professional morality in kindergartens.
