A Micro-ethnography Study of the Generation of"Migrant Marginalized Children":Explanation Based on the Interactive Ritual Chain Theory
Focusing on the marginalization of migrant children is a crucial aspect of promoting education equity, and exploring the generation mechanism of"migrant marginalized children"is a key to solving marginalization. Therefore, based on the Interactive Ritual Chain Theory, this study took qualitative research as a paradigm and micro-ethnography as the methodology to investigate the generative mechanism of"migrant marginalized children".The findings are as follows:First, the failure of the group interaction ritual makes the symbol of the"migrant marginalized children"attached to the interaction ritual structure. In addition, the circular mechanism of the interactive ritual chain serves as a reproduction mechanism, which strengthens the marginal symbol in the conversational network. Finally, the internalization of the thought chain makes the marginal symbol fixed, thus shaping the generation of"migrant marginalized children".In short, this study clarified the relationship between the individual and the interaction ritual structure in a micro-interactive situation. It also examined the microscopic mechanism of marginal symbol generation among migrant children.Further, this study provided a valuable basis for reshaping the interactive context, improving the belongingness of"migrant marginalized children",and resisting the spread of marginal symbolization.
