Diagnostic and therapeutic advances of bladder non-rhabdomyosarcomas in children
Urinary bladder masses in children are rare and associated histological features and outcomes differ greatly from those in adults. Most children of urinary bladder masses present with lower urinary tract symptoms of hematuria, dysuria and frequent/urgent urination. The most common bladder malignancy is rhabdomyosarcoma.Except for rhabdomyosarcoma, most bladder tumors are benign with a decent prognosis. However,it is rare and generally ignored by clinicians. This review summarized the clinical, imaging and histopathological features of pediatric bladder non-rhabdomyosarcomas to provide clinical references for rational managements.
