Research advances of pyogenic arthritis of hip in children with pericapsular pyomyositis
Pyogenic arthritis of hip(PAH)is one of the most common hip infectious diseases in children while suppurative myositis of hip(SMH)remains relatively rare. However, clinical coexistence is quite common. These two diseases are bacterial infectious diseases with a similar pathogenic mechanism due to Staphylococcus aureus. The symptoms include fever, hip pain and limited activities. There is no conflict in clinical mangements. However, due to a great rarity of SMH,it is easily ignored and misdiagnosed. Thus this review focused upon a combination of PAH and SMH to boost its diagnostic and therapeutic proficiency in children.
