Recent advances in diagnosis and treatment of neonatal brachial plexus paralysis
Neonatal brachial plexus paralysis(NBPP)is one of the common diseases in neonates.If the diagnosis and treatment are not timely,severe sequelae may be resulted and long-term quality-of-life is impaired.Prenatal understanding of high-risk factors and correct assessments of brachial plexus injury types,appropriate assessments and interventions are vital for improving outcomes.Currently there are still many controversies in the aspects of evaluation,treatment and prognosis of NBPP.This review summarized the above aspects for an in-depth understanding of NBPP.
