As a systematic generalization and summary of CPC's conception of the history of the Chi-nese nation by absorbing and drawing on the consensus in the study of Chinese ethnic history,the Four Commons(Common Territory,History,Culture,and Spirit)are not only the crystallization of the ideology of continuously promoting the Sinicization and modernization of the Marxist theory of the ethnic problems based on the practice of the socialist construction in multi-ethnic state,but also an important element of the theoretical system of the Chinese national community in the new era.As a comprehensive theoretical and dis-cursive system consisting of the community view of the Chinese nation,the holistic view of Chinese history,and the Marxist materialistic and dialectical view of development,the historical conception of the Chinese na-tion based on the Four Commons is of great significance to the construction of a multi-ethnic state of China in the new era,from the dimensions of establishing the subjectivity of history,revealing the underpinnings of civilization,and searching for the laws of history.
