The Establishment of Confucianism System in Yunnan In Ming Dynasty and Its Historical Significance——Taking Confucian Inscriptions as the Center
Yunnan is located in the southwest frontier,and imperial examinations were hold here in Yongle Xinmao years in the Ming Dynasty.Most of the Confucian families in Yunnan in Ming Dynasty migrated from the central plains.Because of the inte-gration with the minority nationalities,they showed different Confucian cultural characteristics from the central plains.Under the influence of Confucianism in Ming Dynasty,Yunnan chieftains enriched Confucianism with minority culture,enhanced cultural i-dentity,and promoted multi-ethnic integration.The establishment of the learning institute,academy of classical learning and social science studies expanded the spread of Confucianism,and the interaction between official and private institution of higher learning,inland and border areas is diverse,revealing the historical significance of Confucianism in Yunnan in the Ming dynasty for promoting multi-ethnic exchanges,communication and integration.
