Promoting Chinese-style modernization and the construction of a Chinese national community both require signifi-cant attention to the crucial significance of economic development in ethnic regions.Accelerating economic development in ethnic regions is not only a macro strategic requirement for building a socialist modernized strong country,but also a national work ar-rangement to promote all ethnic groups towards socialist modernization.In accelerating economic development in ethnic regions,it is necessary to not only address the common problems in economic development in the majority of ethnic regions,but also pay attention to the specific issues that arise in certain ethnic regions.In the process of modernization,accelerating economic devel-opment in ethnic regions should focus on the informal institutions that affect economic development,improve differentiated re-gional support policies,strengthen internal and external support conditions,improve the policy system for development and open-ing up in border areas,and promote economic development in ethnic regions through institutional improvement and innovation.These five aspects involve specific dimensions such as ideological concepts,practical difficulties,internal and external environ-ments,development dynamics,and basic guarantees that affect economic development in ethnic regions.
