Internationalization of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the History of German Traditional and Complementary Medicine
Under the strong dominance of modern biomedicine,European medicine,as represented by Germany, still has a wide variety of Traditional and Complementary Medicine(T&CM),and with the change of the times,it has gradually gone through a process from being"alternative"to"complementary"to"integrative".Historical changes have been reshaped by the scientific revolution of the 16th century,by the populist turn and backlash of Nazi, and by political movements and social trends. The current continuous breakthroughs in new science and technology will certainly have a profound impact on the new medical paradigm.Based on historical research, this paper discusses how Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)should respond to the opportunities and challenges of the new era and improve its international competitiveness.
