Phenomenology of Love:Historical Experience and the Path to Reconstruction
"Phenomenology of Love"breaks through the cognitive phenomenology established by Husserl, attempting to grasp Being through the reduction to and experience of love. After Husserl, phenomenology establishes the theme of love through three approaches, leading to"Phenomenology of Love".The first is existential phenomenology, which grasps Being through emotional experience, establishing the theme of emotions, but its emotional theme is negative, excluding the connotation of love. The second is ethical phenomenology(including alterity phenomenology),which establishes the theme of love, defining it as a bestowal from God or the absolute other. However, the tendency towards alterity philosophy and fideism also limits its rationality. The third is deconstructive phenomenology, which dissolves the identity of love through the reduction to love, indicating the self-denial of"Phenomenology of Love".The historical experience of"Phenomenology of Love"provides us with important insights, deepening and enriching the connotation of phenomenology and reflecting its development trend. We should establish ontological phenomenology based on ontological philosophy and define love as the authentic relationship between the subject and the world, making love the authentic experience of existence and the manifestation mechanism of the Being, thus completing the reasonable construction of"Phenomenology of Love".
