The Narrative Paradox of the Female Images in"She"Variety Shows
In recent years,"She"variety shows have stood out from among a group of female variety shows due to their focus on older women pursuing their dreams.However,the trend of some programs'opening high and closing low indicates that their attempts to break through traditional gender metaphors in value guidance have not yet achieved satisfactory effects.Such programs reconstruct fe-male images through narrative methods while attempting to establish a new discourse system under the banner of feminism,while revea-ling traces of the old order under the gaze of patriarchal discourse.There are obvious narrative paradoxes in the narrative framework,theme,discourse,and symbols,resulting in the programs'not only failing to establish new female images,but also exhibiting stereo-typical reconstruction of female images due to fixed gender concepts.
