Researchon the Cultural Resistance Groups Led by the Chinese Communist Party during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression
The cultural resistance groups were the undertakers of the anti-Japanese activities for national salvation initiated by the Communist Party of China(CPC),which had been sticking to the Chinese nation's cultural united front against Japanese aggression and leading cultural figures in taking resistant action during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.In the face of Japanese imperialists'aggression,the CPC actively promoted the formation of the cultural united front of the Chinese nation in its resistance a-gainst Japanese aggression,proposed and developed the new democratic policy of cultural resistance,and established a large number of cultural resistance groups in the resistance base areas,the areas under Kuomintang's control,and overseas Chinese communities.These cultural resistance groups disseminated popular reading materials and advanced the popularization and massification of cultural education.They organized meetings and parades appealing for resistance against Japanese aggression,carried out voluntary fundraising activities,went to the anti-Japanese war front to condole soldiers and to cover the true situation on the battle field in their follow-up re-port.They carried out anti-Japanese national salvation singing movements,organized drama performances themed on the war against Japanese aggression,and other activities to propel the whole nation to resist Japanese aggression.Such activities widely united people from all strata of the cultural field,in service to the needs of the battlefield,fully played the role of cultural resistance,and made in-delible contributions to the Chinese people's ultimate victory in the war.
