Research on the Regulatory Dilemmas and Countermeasure of the"Overwork"Problem with Workers in New Forms of Employment
The rapid development and widespread application of digital technology have created a large number of new forms of em-ployment empowered by digital technology, giving rise to a unique group of workers in these new forms of employment.Due to the flexi-ble working hours and the piece-rate pay of these workers, there has been a wide-spread"over-work"problem among them.Long term overwork not only harms the physical and mental health of the workers, but also contradicts the concept of sustainable develop-ment,while reflecting the shortcomings of the rule of labor laws in China. The lack of relevant labor laws and regulations, unclear labor standards, and the marginalization of labor protection and remedies, have led to the practical difficulties in regulating the issue of over-work among workers in new forms of employment. To address these issues, efforts should be made to perfect labor laws and regulations relevant to workers in the new forms of employment, establish a labor standards system for these workers, and strengthen the mecha-nisms for protecting the rights and interests of workers in new forms of employment,in order to effectively respond to the"overwork"problem faced by these workers.
