The period of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression was an important historical stage for the development of the military industry in the anti-Japanese base areas led by the Communist Party of China.In response to the reality of outdated and in-sufficient weaponry,the Eighth Route Army and the leadership in the anti-Japanese base areas sought ways to cultivate military tech-nology talents and place them in important positions.Through inner-Party debates,a construction route and policy were ultimately es-tablished for the military industry,providing direction for the training of military technology personnel.The Eighth Route Army and the anti-Japanese base areas established specialized schools and research institutions,expanded technical training in military production,emphasized the combination of theory with practice,and strengthened ideological and political education,resulting in the cultivation of a large number of talents armed with military technology.At the same time,they focused on motivating these talents,trusting them,and boldly utilizing them,which led to the production of a large quantity of weapons and ammunition,thus providing significant support to the anti-Japanese endeavor in the enemy's rear area and achieving new breakthroughs in military technology.This laid a foundation for the victory in the war and the construction and development of national defense science and technology industries in the new China,with far-reaching effects.
