The Communist Party of China has always been attaching importance to the role of ballads and folk songs in the revolutiona-ry struggle.During the magnificent historical process of the Long March,the creation and dissemination of revolutionary ballads and folk songs played an important role.The revolutionary songs of the Long March covered a variety of themes including military marches and combats,daily life in the troops,and political propaganda.Their creators were diverse.They utilized familiar old melodies with new lyr-ics that were easy to sing,characterized by simple yet clear-cut verses closely tied to reality,fully meeting the needs of revolutionary struggles.Along the Long March route,these revolutionary songs spread through written texts,being sung by propaganda teams and or-dinary soldiers,and spontaneously passed on by the masses as well.They not only provided strong spiritual support and solace to the Red Army soldiers,but also effectively disseminated the ideals of communism,profoundly inspiring the broad masses of the people a-long the way.These songs offer us valuable resources for exploring the different aspects of the Long March and inheriting the legacy of the red genes.
