Research on coherent synthesis efficiency and coherent depth of field of distributed coherent aperture radar
The signals transmitted by distributed coherent aperture radar(DCAR)can only be completely coherently superimposed at the point of interest.Under the constraint of transmit coherent efficiency, energy dispersion phenomenonmay occur due to mismatched coherence positions. In this regard, the definition of"coherent depth of field"is used to describe the phenomenon of energy dispersion, and the reasons for the formation of coherent depth of field are given. Its bounded and periodic characteristics are pointed out,and its influencing factors are analyzed. The spatial distribution law of transmit coherent efficiency is revealed in a concrete and quantitative way, which can effectively support engineering practices such as the selection of DCAR transmission signal parameters and array configurations. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through simulation experiments of DCAR design using multi node unit radars.
