A method for signal reconstruction of polarization-Doppler weather radar based on spectral continuity
Spectral polarization filtering technology is widely used in weather radar clutter suppression, but when ground clutter is mixed with precipitation, these methods will lose precipitation while filtering out clutter. To address this issue,a polarization-Doppler weather radar signal reconstruction method based on spectral continuity is proposed. This method utilizes the characteristic differences between precipitation and clutter on the range-Doppler map to achieve the preservation of precipitation and the filtering of clutter.Specifically, the spatial continuity of Doppler velocity and spectral width of precipitation is utilized to compensate for precipitation using polynomial fitting and Gaussian fitting method. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the measured data of the operational weather radar.
