Clinical Outcome Analysis of Postmenopausal Osteoporotic Thoracolum-bar Compression Fractures Treated with Alendronate Combined with Per-cutaneous Vertebroplasty
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of alendronate combined with percutaneous vertebroplasty in co-intervention of osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fracture occurring after menopause. Methods 70 postmeno-pausal patients with osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fractures admitted to Yangchun Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into routine group and research group using random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. The conventional group was treated with percutaneous vertebroplasty, while the study group was treated with alendronate combined with verte-broplasty.Pain score, bone metabolism and bone mineral density were compared between the two groups. Results The pain scores of the study group at 3 months after treatment(5.39±1.24)points and 6 months after treatment(2.18±0.29)points were lower than those of the conventional group(7.21±1.23)points and(4.83±0.28)points,and the differences were statistically significant(t=6.164,38.891,both P<0.05).The indexes of bone metabolism and bone mineral den-sity in the study group were better than those in the conventional group, and the differences were statistically signifi-cant(both P<0.05).Conclusion Adopting alendronate and percutaneous vertebroplasty combined treatment, which helps to improve the long-term efficacy of patients, reduce the pain score of patients, and has a positive impact on im-proving bone metabolism and bone density indicators.
