Effects of Racemic Anisodamine Combined with Orthokeratology on Vi-sual Function in Patients with Mild to Moderate Myopia
Objective To investigate and analyze the effects of racemic anisodamine combined with orthokeratology on visual function in patients with mild to moderate myopia. Methods A total of 112 patients with mild to moderate myo-pia admitted to the Department of Ophthalmology of Haimen District People's Hospital of Nantong City,Jiangsu Prov-ince from March 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects.According to the 1:1 random coin toss principle, the patients were divided into the study group and the control group with 56 cases in each group. The con-trol group was treated with orthokeratology,on the basis of which, the study group was treated with racemic anisoda-mine.The changes of visual function were compared between the two groups. Results After 3 months of treatment The naked eye visual acuity of two groups were higher than before treatment, and the diopter were lower than before treat-ment,and the study group were better than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment, the total effective rate was 98.21%in the study group, which was better than the control group of 85.71%,and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.350,P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,IOP were lower in both groups than before treatment, and the study group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of side effects such as eye swelling, eye infec-tion,photophobia and irritation was 3.57%in the study group, which was lower than 17.86%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=5.973,P<0.05).Conclusion Racemic anisodamine combined with ortho-keratology in the treatment of mild and moderate myopia can improve the naked eye visual acuity of patients, reduce the diopter, also promote the reduction of the intraocular pressure of patients, reduce the incidence of adverse reac-tions,and thus improve the overall visual function of patients.
