Analysis of the Application Value of White Blood Cell Count and Bacterial Count in Patients with Urinary Tract Infection
Objective To explore the clinical diagnostic value of routine urine test for urinary tract infection.Meth-ods A total of 70 patients with urinary tract infection admitted to Hami Center Hospital from September 2020 to Sep-tember 2023 were selected as the observation group. In addition,70 healthy people who received physical examination in the same period were selected as control group. Both groups underwent urine routine examination, and the clinical relevant indicators, white blood cell count and bacteria count were compared between the two groups. Results The white blood cell count(31.26±2.69)/µl and the bacteria count(4 005.39±123.75)/µl in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(15.42±2.32)/µl and the bacteria count(2 324.74±88.47)/µl,and the differ-ences were statistically significant(t=37.308,92.435,both P<0.05).There were no significant differences in bacterial count and white blood cell count among different infection types in observation group(both P>0.05).Conclusion Rou-tine urine test plays an important role in the diagnosis of urinary tract infection.Through the observation and analysis of urine appearance, specific gravity, acidity and alkalinity and urine sediment,it can assist in the initial screening of urinary tract infection, determine the severity of the condition, and carry out dynamic monitoring in the course of treat-ment.
