Analysis of the Efficacy of Vestibular Rehabilitation in the Treatment of Vestibular Migraine
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of vestibular rehabilitation for vestibular migraine. Methods 42 pa-tients with migraine caused by intra-auricular vestibular dysfunction who visited the outpatient department of Shanghe County People's Hospital from April 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 21 cases in each group. The control group was given medication treatment, while the observation group received vestibular rehabilitation treatment in addition to the treatment in the control group. The treatment effects, improvement of vertigo symptoms, and degree of vertigo disability were compared between the two groups of patients. Results The effective rate of rehabilitation treatment for migraine patients in the observation group was 95.24%,which was higher than 71.43%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.286,P<0.05).After treatment, the average number of vertigo attacks of patients in the observation group was(3.14±0.28)times,and the duration of each lasted for(4.08±0.28)min,which was lower than the control group's(4.25±0.65)times and(5.62±0.66)min,and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).The Dizziness Handicap Inventory(DHI)scores were higher in the two groups before treatment, and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The DHI score of the observation group patients after treatment was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Vestibular rehabilitation as-sisted drug treatment can effectively relieve patients'migraine symptoms, promote the recovery of mixed brain activity, reduce the degree of vertigo disability, improve patients'emotional and somatic functions, and the comprehensive effi-cacy is excellent.
