Effects of Different Drugs on Uterine Fibroids and Their Effects on Sex Hormone Levels
Objective To investigate the effect of different drugs on the treatment of uterine fibroids and the effect on the level of sex hormone in patients. Methods A total of 80 patients with uterine fibroids admitted to Juye County People's Hospital from February 2021 to February 2023 were selected as the research objects and divided into two groups according to different drug use:study group and control group, each with 40 cases. The control group was treated with mifepristone, and the study group was treated with tamoxifen on the basis of the control group. The thera-peutic effect, levels of serum sex hormones, inflammatory factors and incidence of adverse reactions were statistically compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group was 97.50%,which was higher than that of the control group(80.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(χ2=4.507,P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in serum sex hormone levels between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the levels of follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, estradiol and progesterone in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in serum inflammatory factors between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the levels of high-sensitive C-reactive protein,interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α in the study group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(both P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Tamoxifen combined with mifepristone has a remarkable effect in the treatment of uterine fibroids, which can improve the serum sex hormone level of patients and reduce the level of inflammatory factors.
